Make your Linux Partitions Available in Windows

If you’re running a dual-boot linux windows machine, there’s a pretty big chance you’ve come to a point when you’ve wanted access to certain files in the opposite OS’s partition. Granted, if you’re in linux, getting at NTFS partitions is easy enough (and if it’s not, you can find any number of resources to get you there), but the other-way-around isn’t nearly as easy (at least to find). Jammie Thomas ordered to pay $222,000 in file-sharing case

“I think there’s one major error by the judge — the jury instructions. It flies in the face of 40 years of case law. … If she were to lose, she would have a great appeal,” he said. “Somehow they sold the judge. Just having the shared files is a copyright infringement.” -Ray Beckerman

The most amazing part is that she was actually found guilty of making the 1700 songs available (on Kazaa) and that it didn’t have to be shown whether or not anyone actually downloaded them.

Well SCO carries on for now (but not for long)…
